Step 1 of 8

Give Burstows its own project.

A project is simply a folder inside Claude, and every conversation you start inside it already knows about Burstows, because your settings file and any documents you add are sitting there waiting.

Why a project comes first.

Without one, every chat starts from nothing, so you explain who you are and what Burstows does and how you want it to sound, and then tomorrow you explain it all again. A project ends that. You explain once, in the settings file, and every conversation inside the project begins with it already read.

Do this.

  1. Open Claude, in the app on your computer or at claude.ai, and sign in.

  2. In the menu on the left, click Projects.

  3. Click New project, in the top right corner.

  4. Name it Burstows.

The description is for you, not for Claude, which can't actually see it, so a few words will do.

  5. Click Create.

You land on an empty project page with a box for project instructions and a panel for project knowledge. Leave both empty for now. Steps 2 to 5 fill them.

Roughly what you will see. Claude changes its screens often. The words on the buttons mostly stay, so follow the words.
